About My Dogs Kennels...

About seven years ago I was at a horse auction with my husband where I saw a lady down in the ring with some heeler pups. I knew I couldn’t have one, but a driver of ours had wanted one and told us if we ever saw some to let him know. So, I went down and told the lady I'd like to pick one out for him -- he would be here in about an hour. I picked out a nice block-headed girl and went back to my seat and waited.

Being the animal lover that I am, the first time she laid on my shoulder and I closed my eyes and hugged her, I was hers!

When our driver showed up, he looked at the other pups that were left and chose a thick necked female. And then came the problem of handing the little girl I was holding for him back!

Well needless to say that wasn’t going to happen!

I had already been adopted. So after a little pleading and making the case that I did need one more critter Samantha went home with us.

And with us she is. I’ve had many breeds of dogs in my lifetime but never anything like this. I'd like to say what it is like in words, but I can not. It is a bond and a feeling unlike no other. Samantha is my best friend.
